Recently commissioned by MacFormat magazine, this Apple NetBook concept is based on the belief that the innovative company is working on such a device, and assumed to be coming out this year.
The illustration has been doing the ‘blog’ rounds this last couple of weeks, and like other concepts I have developed, seems quite popular overall!

I have advertised in various source books for a few years now (American Showcase, PLAY), and have decided to give Directory Of Illustration a go this year. The book won’t be released until early next year in fact, but hopefully it will open up new client possibilities. This is my page!

Feeling the need to explore old skills, but using the digital tools I have become so familiar with, I have been trying out a Cintiq 21UX from Wacom. This device works like any other Wacom pen tablet, but with the enormous advantage of also being a screen that you can draw and paint directly onto within the likes of Photoshop and Painter etc…

… this thing really is stunning, and has had me so convinced that I am really painting again (after at least 10 years not doing it!), that I even tried to smudge the paint with my finger tip at one point, and blow away any dust (from pastel/pencil) on another!
This is a crop of a full body portrait I have been wanting to paint for a number of years - still a work in progress, but the face & hair are mostly done now.
Ballistic Publishing have informed me today that 2 of my conceptual illustrations are to appear in Expose 7! - it’s always an honor to be included in such a quality and prestigious publication
NB: This beautiful cover art for Expose 7 is by Bente Schlick

After quite a long haul, I completed a calendar of Anime inspired females for Cirrus Logic (digital audio processor giant). The calendar is to be circulated amongst the companies clients/retailers etc, and represents many of the sectors their company provides technology for. This ‘Rock Chick’ character was one of my favourites.

If you are out and about in London over the next couple of weeks, you’ll see some animated idents/poster ads I have done for Lee Evans new DVD ‘Live at the O2′. They will be in pretty much every tube station on the escalators, and also a very wide variant in Picadilly Circus adorning the ‘London Lite’ - a 2×23 metre screen system!!

Advanced Photoshop magazine interviewed me for their current issue (44). Check it out in the mag, or get the pdf in the News/Media section here!

Additions to the product (numerous) and editorial galleries today ![]()
I have added a new gallery for some of the work I have done in film and TV media. Just a smattering from Star Wars Revelations and Pitching Lucas at present, but more to follow. I am also trying out a different gallery display approach - what do you think?
